Adenta Leopards entrenched its position in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I standings by grabbing a win in its latest appearance.

Leopards beat Ghana Police Service 58-56 at the Prisons Court in Cantonments on Saturday, August 17 to stay put in second place behind leader Braves of Customs.

This is Leopards seventh win in 11 games while Police succumbed to its seventh loss in 11 games. Leopards dethroned perennial runner up Tema Youth to place second last season.

Adabraka CYO-promoted from Division II ahead of the start of the 2019 Division I campaign- continued its up and down run in the league.

CYO lost 48-60 to Ghana Fire Service with the Week’s round of games come to a sour end as Novas matchup against Panthers in Division II was postponed.

Lighting issues at the venue was the reason behind the decision and the new fixture date is yet to be released. This comes as the league prepares to host a team from Benin for a series of friendly games.
