General Manager of Capital City Go-Go Basketball Club Pops Mensah-Bonsu has arrived in Ghana ahead of a two day basketball clinic he is set to headline Basketballghana.com can confirm.
He arrived on Thursday evening at the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana’s capital Accra with newly appointed Basketball Africa League Executive John Manyo-Plange.
The British born Ghanaian played in the NBA for Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors before transitioning to Scouting and Management.
Dubbed the “Pops Mensah-Bonsu Camp”, the two day event is open to all male and female between ages 12 and 18. The Camp commences on Sunday, August 18 and ends on Monday, August 19 with the International Central Gospel Church Court hosting the event.
Mensah-Bonsu is the first General Manager of City Go-Go following the team’s formation in the NBA Gatorade League. The team is the development club affiliate of NBA side Washington Wizards.
Despite participating in several Camps in Ghana over the years, the upcoming Camp is set to be the first for Mensah-Bonsu as the headlining act.
