Tudu Galaxy has recorded its first win in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division season thanks to a win over University of Ghana (UG).
Galaxy secured a 32-27 win over UG to record its first win in the ongoing campaign after losing seven straight games in previous appearances in the league.
The win was registered away from Galaxy’s home league venue-Lebanon House Court in Tudu- with the game taking place at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
This means Galaxy is no longer the sole team in the league without a win and improves its tally to nine points after eight games.
Galaxy’s improved tally, moves the team from the bottom spot on the standings despite having the same points as UG. A superior goal difference puts Tudu ahead of the tertiary side.
Braves still lead the way in the standings with maximum points from winning all eight games. However, the Men’s Division I matchup between Customs and Kawukudi Warriors was cancelled due to poor lighting.
