Braves of Customs matchup against Kawukudi Warriors in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division has been postponed.
The postponement was directed by the League Board due to “failure of lights at the venue”. The game was scheduled to be played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
The league has been hit with a slew of lighting problems at venues including the Lebanon House Court in Tudu. Over the past month, league games have been honoured at the Prisons Court due to poor lighting at the Tudu Court.
However, the lights failed to work according to information reaching Basketballghana.com ahead of the game forcing officials to call off the matchup.
The earlier game between Tudu Galaxy and University of Ghana (UG) in the Women’s Division went on as planned. Galaxy beat UG 32-27.
This development comes as the league prepares to host a trio of games involving the top three teams in the Men’s Division against a team from Benin with the first game slated for Wednesday, August 21.
