Braves Female Basketball Team has recorded another big win in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) season with Ghana Navy as the latest victim.
The multiple time league winners scored a comprehensive 59-19 win at the Prisons Court in Cantonments on Friday, August 9.
The win extends Braves winning run in the 2019 campaign to eight games as the team continues to impress in its quest to reclaim the title. Ghana Police Service beat Braves to the title last season.
Braves big win was one of three games played at the league venue at the start of the weekend; Ghana Police’s Male side beat home side Reformers of Prisons 76-69 in the Men’s Division I for the former’s second straight win in the second round.
Junior Reformers in the Men’s Division II registered a 64-43 win over Kaneshie Swanlakers. Reformers rebounded from a 55-67 loss to University of Ghana (UG).
In midweek, Adenta Leopards beat Kawukudi Warriors 50-40 while Ada Knights lost 25-57 to Ghana Air Force in the Men’s Division I and II respectively.
