Reports from the recently held Accra Basketball League (ABL) meeting following the conclusion of the first half of the 2019 season indicate a series of friendly games are in the pipeline.
Basketballghana.com gathers a team from Benin will arrive in Ghana and face off against three top teams in the league in two weeks.
The meeting was held at the Lebanon House Court which serves as one of two league venues for this year’s campaign; the Prisons Court in Cantonments also host league games.
Among other items discussed in the meeting which was poorly attended per the official communicate of the league, it was fruitful.
Each team in the Men’s Division I, Division II and Women’s Division was expected to be represented by the Head Coach, Manager and Captain.
A sponsorship deal between the league and telecommunication Giant MTN is believed to be in the works and further details are to be made public soon.
Matters linked to officiating and discipline was also discussed. League action in the second round of the 2019 season continues on Wednesday, August 7.
