University of Ghana (UG) registered its second win in as many games over Junior Reformers in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season.

In the opening round of the second half of the campaign, UG clinched a 67-55 win over Junior Reformers at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.

In the final round of the first half, UG scored a 66-42 win over the same opposing team to move to first place in the standings.

The latest win keeps the tertiary side’s lead intact with a three point advantage over second ranked Ghana Air Force.

However, UG’s Female Side missed out on an opportunity to secure its second win of the 2019 campaign and a double win for Ghana’s premier university in midweek.

UG lost 32-60 to Ghana National Fire Service in the sole Women’s Division played at the venue. The matchup was the opening act of the second round.

In the Men’s Division I, home side Reformers of Prisons beat Kawukudi Warriors 72-44.
