The 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) season returns tonight after a brief following the conclusion of the first round of games.
Three games are to be honoured at the Prisons Court in Cantonments with University of Ghana (UG) involved in two of them.
UG’s Women’s Team takes on Ghana National Fire Service in the opening game scheduled to tip off at 15:00 GMT. In the eight team standings, UG ranks seventh after picking up a win in eight games.
Fire Service on the other hand, ranks fourth in the standings with 11 points from recording four wins in three games including a 58-29 win over UG.
UG’s Men’s Team has been on the opposite end of its Female Team’s form after running away with an unbeaten streak in eight games to lead the standings with 16 points.
The tertiary side beat Junior Reformers 66-42 to close its run in the first round and has another opportunity to record another win in its opening appearance in the second round.
Home side Reformers of Prisons play Kawukudi Warriors in the Men’s Division I.
