After grabbing an impressive win over Tema Community 2 in the previous round, Teshie Rangers missed out on a second straight win after losing to Nungua Coldstore.
Rangers lost 33-64 to the defending Tema Community Basketball League champions over the past weekend at Tema’s Chinese Court.
Teshie Rangers, ranked bottom in the standings, couldn’t contain last season’s champions who played with more purpose after losing for the first time against Tema Heat.
Heat on the other hand, continued its inconsistent form by clinching a 37-35 win over Francophone Stars to conclude its play in the first round of the 2019 campaign.
Heat has won and lost games as it ends the first half of the season with six wins in 11 games. Stars poor run recently pales in comparison with its form at the start of the season.
Home side Tema Community 4 sealed a 42-32 win over Tema Rockets as the league heads to the final round of games before the first round closes.
