Tudu Galaxy’s poor run in the first round of the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II campaign has come to an end.
Unfortunately for the Tudu based team, the end wasn’t pretty as Galaxy lost 52-59 to Panthers; the loss is the team’s seventh in eight games and keeps them at the bottom of the nine team standings.
The game was played out at the Prisons Court in Cantonments after University of Ghana (UG) jumped into first place in the standings.
UG beat Junior Reformers 66-42 to complete an eight game winning run that saw the University team top the likes of Ghana Air Force.
By winning all games in the first round, UG has amassed 16 points one point ahead of Air Force with Novas in third place.
In the final game, Braves of Customs deflated the biggest game on the Ghanaian scene by hammering Tema Youth 77-36. Braves led throughout the entire game and held a 35-15 lead at half time.
