Ghana Wheel Chair Basketball Federation Media Coordinator Sandy Asiedu has expressed his happiness over budding Forward Gershon Kurt Mawuli’s play.
He opined his feelings in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of Mawuli’s latest double double effort in the Bermuda Basketball League.
Mawuli registered 11 points, 23 rebounds, five blocks helping Pembroke Skyforce beat Southampton Wolfpack 64-63 in overtime.
He was named Most Valuable Player in the game after his standout performance; Mawuli is set to play for Warren Wilson University later this year.
Speaking to Ghana’s leading basketball portal, Asiedu was effusive about Mawuli’s play stating:
“Really excited about Kurt’s performance this year and how he’s grown as a player, he can only get better from here to do greater things when he finally gets to his college team in the States. I know he’s a double double expert now in the game, his defense and offense has improved immensely…the whole family is proud of him and wish him well”.
Asiedu is a basketball pundit, agent and coordinator of the Tema Community Basketball League.
