This year’s Basketball Without Borders (BWB) African edition will take place in Dakar, Senegal from July 28-31 and ahead of the event, the full list of Coaches have been named.
The deep list of trainers is dominated by current players in the NBA including Joel Embiid, 2017 Rookie of the Year winner Malcom Brogdon and Gorgui Dieng.
Two time NBA Champion and former Miami Heat star Chris Bosh headlines the list of former pros for the camp. Other ex players set to train young girls and boys include Boniface Ndong and Dikember Mutombo.
Former WNBA players Astou Ndiaye and Clarisse Machanguana headline the list of female trainers. 60 participants under the age of 17 have been selected from several countries on the African continent for the event.
Coaches will take participants through several facets of the sport on and off the court; On court matters will focus on shooting and skills development.
The program has been active since 2002 and former participants have gone to play in the NBA including Embiid. This is the second time Senegal is hosting the event.
