Ghana Center Amida Brimah registered his maiden double double in his three year run in the NBA Summer League as Brooklyn Nets lost 77-85 to Minnesota Timberwolves.
The talented defender picked up 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks in 19 minutes off the bench as the Nets missed out on a place in the Finals. Minnesota proceeded to the final game but lost 92-95 to Memphis Grizzlies.
Brimah has featured in the preseason competition over the years for Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs since graduating from University of Connecticut in 2017.
However, his run with Brooklyn Nets has been successful considering the increased amount of playing time. Brimah played 19 minutes in a win over Washington Wizards in the first round of this year’s competition.
Amida took advantage of injuries to starting Center Jarrett Allen and recently drafted Forward Nic Claxton to score his first double double production.
His game leading shot blocking performances against Wizards and Minnesota have generated a lot of attention from NBA teams who could sign the 6 foot 11 player for the upcoming season.
