Ghana’s Amida Brimah is line to play for Brooklyn Nets in tonight’s matchup against Detroit Pistons in the NBA Summer League.
The Nets take on the second seed Pistons after completing the first round with the seventh seed. The team recorded three wins in four games.
Brooklyn beat a select side from Croatia, Washington Wizards and Orlando Magic to progress after losing to Dallas Mavericks in the opening game.
Tonight’s matchup is the first of a series of elimination games to determine the winning team in this year’s edition of the preseason competition.
Unbeaten in four games, Boston Celtics secured the first seed and will play against Memphis Grizzlies. Should Brooklyn win tonight, its next opponent would be the winner of the Dallas-Minnesota Timberwolves game.
Brimah’s playing time has generally fluctuated through the quartet of games going from playing two minutes to 19 minutes against Washington.
He delivered an impressive stat line of 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks against the Wizards. He is likely to start behind Jarrett Allen at Center.
