Ghana Center Amida Brimah is in line to play in the NBA Summer League for the third time in his career with the 6 foot 11 inch player set to feature for Brooklyn Nets.

Brimah played in the 2017 and 2018 editions of the preseason tournament respectively for Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs before getting a call up to Brooklyn Nets roster for this year’s competition.

The 2019 Summer League commences later tonight in Las Vegas with top players from the recent draft set to compete. Top overall pick Zion Williamson and third overall pick RJ Barrett will face off against New Orleans Pelicans play New York Knicks.

Amida got called up to the Nets after another solid season in the NBA Gatorade League where he averaged 8.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks.

He was named in the G League All Defensive Team for the second time in a row. Brimah has played in the development league for the past two seasons since going undrafted in 2017.

In his senior season at the University of Connecticut, he was named Captain.
