Braves of Customs and University of Ghana (UG) have extended their respective winning streaks in the Accra Basketball League (ABL).

Following the conclusion of the first round of games in Week 14 of the 2019 season last night at the Prisons Court in Cantonments, both teams recorded wins to maintain their winning runs.

In the Women’s Division, Braves clinched a 64-36 win over Ghana Navy for its sixth win in as many appearances. Braves also move to the top spot in the league standings. Navy on the other hand, lost for the second time in six games.

In the Men’s Division II, UG’s impressive start to life in the second tier reached another high point following a 58-39 win over Kaneshie Swanlakers.

This is Swanlakers fourth loss after falling to the likes of league leaders Ghana Air Force in previous encounters. The win adds another positive mark for UG after opening the season with a shock 54-47 win over Air Force.

After suffering a shock loss to Reformers of Prisons, Tema Youth bounced back to pip Adabraka CYO 56-54 in the Men’s Division I.
