Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is the latest player to join Panathinaikos after moving from Persiteri GS this offseason. Panathinaikos activated a buyout clause to sign Bentil despite the Sekondi native’s set return to Peristeri.

This marks the latest club the 2106 NBA Draftee will play in his three year career as a professional. Bentil played two seasons for Providence College before declaring for the Draft.

After his selection by Boston Celtics in the second round of the draft, Bentil played for Indiana Pacers Gatorade League affiliate Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

He moved to China where he played for Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in the Chinese Basketball Association before becoming the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA after suiting up for Dallas Mavericks.

In the immediate season prior to his impressive run with Peristeri GS where he averaged 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds, the 24 year old played in France and Spain.

In France, he played for Charlons Champagne Reims but transferred to Bilbao Basket in Spain. Set to play for a head trainer he is comfortable with, Bentil could make his stay longer with the Greek giant.
