Ghana Forward Ben Bentil is on the move again with reports confirming Panathinaikos has signed the 24 year old former Providence College standout.

The 6 foot 8 inch player who can play Power Forward spent last season in Greece with Peristeri GS after brief stints in France and Spain.

In his first run out with Peristeri, Bentil impressed averaging 12.5 points and 6.7 rebounds as his side ended the campaign in fourth place in the playoffs.

He was primed to stay with Peristeri for another season before Panathinaikos expressed interest in signing him and activated a buyout clause in the second year of his deal to pry him away.

He reunites with Coach Argiris Pedoulakis after the former Greek International Shooting Guard signed on as Panathinaikos new Coach.

Joining the Greek giant means Bentil is in line to feature in Europe’s highly regarded top tier competition-EuroLeague- next season. Bentil is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA.

The competition features teams that finished high in domestic leagues on the continent. Panathinaikos qualified to the EuroLeague by virtue of winning the Greece A 1 League title.
