Tema Community 2 came from behind to clinch a one point win over Francophone Stars over the weekend in the Tema Community Basketball League.
Community 2 beat Francophone 30-29 with C2 completing the comeback after trailing 22-26 heading to the final minutes of the game.
Clinching the win moves Community 2 into second place in the standings with 15 points on the back of six wins in nine games. Stars-last season’s bronze medal winning side- record drops to four losses in 10 games this season.
The matchup was one of four fixtures honoured at the Tema Community 4 Court with Teshie Vikings continuing its recovery from a poor start as the team bagged another win.
Vikings topped Akatsi Rifles 39-36 to clinch its fourth win in 11 games while condemning Rifles to a fifth loss in nine games. Akatsi’s play in recent times is far off the team that started the season with three straight wins.
In other results, Teshie Rangers lost 28-44 to Tema Wildcats and Tema Rockets lost 33-48 to Spintex Knights.
