Argiris Pedoulakis has left his role as Head Coach of Peristeri GS in the Greece A1 Basketball League Basketballghana.com

The former Greek International Shooting Guard returns to Panathinaikos after leading Peristeri to a fourth place finish in the just ended 2018-2019 season.

Pedoulakis replaces Rick Pitino who left his post after leading Panathinaikos to the league title. The veteran American trainer is on the lookout for an NBA job.

After spending his entire playing career with Panathinaikos and Peristeri, 55 year old Pedoulakis won the league title with the former and impressed with the latter on their return to the elite division.

Ghana Forward Ben Bentil starred for Pedoulakis last season after signing as a free agent. He averaged 12.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and an assist.

Under Pedoulakis, 24 year old Bentil had his best season since turning pro in 2016 as the 51st overall pick in the NBA Draft.

Per EuroHoops, Bentil could be on the move to Panathinaikos to reunite with Pedoulakis despite signing a contract with Peristeri for next season.
