Ghana Center Amida Brimah has another chance to land an NBA gig following news of his addition to the Brooklyn Nets Summer League.

The NBA team surprised many folks to reach the playoffs last season but got ousted by Philadelphia Sixers in the Eastern Conference first round.

Brimah is a 6 foot 11 inch defender who thrives on the defensive end of the court and is a two time All Defensive Team selection in the NBA Gatorade League.

Last season, he averaged 8.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in 47 games despite Spurs missing the playoffs. In the 2017-2018 season, Brimah helped Spurs clinch the G League title.

This is Brimah’s third straight inclusion on a Summer League roster after he was named on the roster for Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Prior to his call up to the Nets Summer League roster, Brimah has spent his offseason working on his shooting to make him more of a two way player than just a rim protector.

Should he sign with the Nets for the 2019-2020 NBA season, Brimah could formidable shot blocking tandem with Jarett Allen.
