Ghana’s Senior National 3×3 Basketball Male Team has lost its third straight game at the ongoing African Beach Games in Cape Verde.

The third nation to beat Ghana at the continental games was Ivory Coast who topped the game’s result thanks to a 21-9 win.

The highly fancied Ivorians who had a podium finish at the African 3×3 Basketball Championship held in Togo had little trouble capturing its second win in as many games at the competition.

Following a 17-21 loss to Mali in its opening game, Ghana needed to clinch a win in the remaining games against Ivory Coast and Cape Verde to have a chance of progressing to the next stage.

However, those hopes have been dashed in the aftermath of recording three losses in three games and getting eliminated in the process.

Despite having a bright start against Mali, Ghana’s intensity fizzled out en route to its first loss. Ivory Coast take on Mali today to decide which team tops Pool A.

Algeria and Tunisia picked the top two spots in Pool B.
