Ghana born France International Point Guard Billy Yakuba Ouatarra moved into the starting lineup for Monaco for the first time in the 2018-2019 French Pro A Finals Series against ASVEL and helpedhis side record its first win in the series.

Monaco beat ASVEL 97-62 in Game 3 of the best of five game series in the league finals to trail (1-2) with Game 4 scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 22.

6 foot 5 inch Ouatarra scored 11 points and added three rebounds, two assists and a steal in the win. In Games 1 and 2, Ouatarra scored six and 10 points respectively.

The 27 year old played 25 minutes in Game 3 converted seven of his 13 shots with four baskets coming from the free throw line. Scored just one of four attempts from three point range.

His production aided American Guard Dee Bost’s big game 23 point performance. Ouatarra was born in Tepa and has been named in the reserve list for the French national team’s 2019 World Cup roster.
