Ghana’s Senior National 3×3 Basketball Men’s Team Captain Benjamin Debrah isn’t bothered by the higher profiles of opposing nations in today’s list of games at the ongoing African Beach Games.

Ghana is due to play host nation Cape Verde and Ivory Coast today in need of two wins to guarantee a place in the next round of the tournament that is due to end on Sunday, June 23.

Mali beat Ghana 17-21 in the opening game for both nations on Thursday, June 20 despite Ghana having a good start to the game.

Playing the higher ranked Ivorians and host is a daunting task for many a team but Debrah isn’t overly concerned about the threat they possess.

“We don’t see any country as the former champion or host nation, we are all at the level of play so we are going to take each game as it comes. We’ve beaten Ivory Coast before” he said in a chat with a Ghana Olympic Committee rep at the Games.
