Ghana’s National 3×3 Basketball Male Team will commence its run at the 2019 African Beach Games (SAL) later today with the team scheduled to play three games.

This year’s Beach Games is the first of its kind on the continent and officially opened on June 14 and expected to end on Sunday, June 23 in Cape Verde.

Ghana’s National team joins seven African nations to battle for the title in the Men’s Pool which four teams drawn in a group.

In Group B, Togo is the sole West African nation due to feature against Algeria, Djibouti and Congo with the top two expected to progress to the next round.

Ghana is in Group A with fellow West African nations Ivory Coast, Mali and the host nation in a tough field. Mali takes on Ghana in the first game.

Neighboring nations Ghana and Ivory Coast face off in the next round of games at the preliminary level before Ghana takes on host Cape Verde.

SAL is a multi sport competition and the maiden edition has several athletes competing in 11 disciplines.
