Tema Heat and Francophone Stars are not enjoying life in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League thus far with each team posting records.
Last season’s silver and bronze medal winners respectively have found it tough in the opening half of the current campaign and are coming off losses from the last round.
Heat lost 31-43 to Tema Rockets while Stars lost 25-35 to Spintex Knights; Heat has three wins in seven games and Stars have three wins in eight games.
Both teams have good spots on the league standings with Heat in seventh place and Stars sitting two places above Heat.
This is however is merely down to both teams making more league appearances than most teams competing in the tournament.
The likes of Knights and Tema Community 2 have better records but occupy the lower spots in the standings after making six appearances.
Heat and Stars need to recapture last season’s form quickly to make good on the promise both showed last season.
