Nungua Coldstore remains the side to beat in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League with the defending champions preserving its winning run.

In the latest update on the standings, Coldstore maintains its spot at the apex of the 12 team roster on the back of its winning streak.

In the past round, Nungua topped Tema Wildcats 38-32 to clinch its seventh win in a row and score 14 maximum points in the present campaign.

Nungua has recorded wins over the likes of Teshie Vikings, Akatsi Rifles and Spintex Knights during its surge halfway through the first round.

The two time league champions play has been underwhelming during stretches in games but Coldstore has managed to come through with wins.

Wins over Knights and Wildcats played out in a similar manner where Nungua went cold late in the third quarter and early fourth quarter needing big shots in clutch periods to overcome opponents.

Nungua takes on Tema Rockets on Sunday, June 16 at the Tema Community 4 Court. Rockets rank third in the league with four wins in seven games.
