Ghana Police Service crunch game against Braves of Customs in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division has a new date.
The highly anticipated game between the power house clubs is to be played on Wednesday, June 12 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu at 14:30 GMT.
This was communicated via the ABL League Board’s officially after the fixture was postponed twice due to varied reasons.
The first postponement was down to a heavy downpour that affected the exposed surface and the second reason was down to Braves trip to Kenya.
Customs spent a week in the East African country honouring an invitation’s from Kenya’s Basketball Federation. Braves played and lost to Kenya’s National Women’s National Team.
Braves returned to Ghana and scored a 60-24 win over Ghana Air Force while Police hammered Tudu Galaxy 84-18 and topped University of Ghana (UG) 88-22 in recent games played.
Customs beat UG 89-14 and neither club has lost a game this season. Police beat Customs twice in the league last season to clinch the league title.
