Foam manufacturing company Ash Foam has supported Ghana’s contingent to compete in the African Beach Games (SAL) with a handsome cash donation.

The company donated $4600 to the contingent ahead of the maiden edition of the continental games which runs from June 14 to June 23 in Cape Verde.

The West African island nation is hosting the maiden edition of the beach themed sports tournament with athletes from 54 countries on the continent due to participate.

The donation was made prior to the first batch of athletes departure from Ghana today at 10:30 AM; the remaining members of the team will follow in the coming days.

Basketballghana.com understands mattresses and kits were also presented by company officials to Ghana Olympic Committee members present at the ceremony including Committee Head Ben Nunoo-Mensah.

Beach Volley and free style soccer are among the disciplines athletes will compete in alongside 3×3 Basketball where Ghana’s Male team aims to make a splash after featuring in last year’s continental 3×3 games in Togo.
