Reigning Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division Champions Ghana Police Service recorded another big win in the 2019 season.

The team dished out an 88-22 win over University of Ghana (UG) Female Team at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu on Saturday.

The matchup was the only matchup in the Division played on the day; two games in the Men’s Division II were played immediately after matchup and had UG’s Male side and Novas record wins.

Prior to beating UG, Police recorded an 84-18 win over Tudu Galaxy and a 60-31 win over Ghana Navy in previous matchups at the Prisons Court in Tudu.

On the other hand, the big loss is the second for UG against a powerhouse club; the tertiary side fell flat in a 14-89 loss to multiple time league winners Braves of Customs.

Police’s three headed offensive threat of Sadat Barikisu, Mavis Matey and Georgina Ntow powered past UG who scored in short spurts.

UG won silver at the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games last year and are preparing for the 2020 edition.
