Ghana’s National 3×3 Basketball Male Team is expected to compete at the Africa Beach Games in Cape Verde on its latest trip.

The team is scheduled to travel to the West African island nation in the coming days with the competition set to run from June 14 to June 23.

Athletes from 54 countries on the continent are expected to participate in the multi sport games in disciplines like beach volley ball and free style football.

This is the latest competition for the team after representing Ghana at the African championship last year in Togo. Despite missing out on progressing to the latter stages of the tournament, Ghana managed to move up the rankings to ninth place.

Another solid performance from the team at the first ever Beach Games will undoubtedly improve Ghana’s position in the rankings.

Most members of the team are competing in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Division I and are expected to step away from club duties.

11 disciplines will roll in the maiden Beach Games edition.
