Tema Rockets winning run in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League has come to an end following a loss in the last round over the past weekend at the Tema Community 4 Court.
Rockets lost 35-40 to Tema Community 2 in a highly entertaining game that featured two teams with a boatload of veteran players on either side.
Heading to the game, Rockets were on a two game winning run and well separated from the team that struggled earlier on in the season and won just two games last season.
The game’s lead changed constantly in the matchup until the final minutes of the fourth quarter where Rockets sent C2 to the charity stripe several times and lost the matchup due to free throws converted by C2’s Jeffrey Djimatey and Kofi Attafuah.
Rockets have another tough task later this weekend against Tema Heat who won silver in last season’s campaign. Heat flat out dominated Teshie Rangers from the three point line en route to a 63-37 win.
