Ghana Forward Ben Bentil registered another double-double in the Greece A1 Basketball League playoffs but it wasn’t enough to keep his Peristeri GS side in the playoffs.

Peristeri got eliminated from the playoffs at the semifinal stage following a 75-82 loss to Panathinaikos for the third straight time in the best of five game series.

Bentil led Peristeri with 21 points and 11 rebounds to recover from an underwhelming performance in Game 2 where he scored just four points and attempted just four shots in 23 minutes off the bench.

Bentil’s latest double double production came on the back of playing 26 minutes off the bench; he added an assist and a steal.

The 6 foot 8 inch Combo Forward scored eight of 12 field goal attempts and scored five of six free throws but went scoreless from three point range in three attempts.

This was the closest score margin in the series Panathinaikos won the first games by blowouts; Peristeri lost 66-86 in Game 2.

Panathinaikos progresses to the League Final and will play the winner of the AEK-Promitheas series.
