Ghana born French international Shooting Guard Billy Yakuba Ouatarra led Monaco to clinch Game One of its semifinal playoff series against Dijon in the French League Pro A.

Ouatarra scored a game leading 19 points leading the principality’s team to an 82-77 overtime win and take a big advantage heading to Game 2.

The 27 year old came off the bench and played 39 minutes recording eight rebounds and three assists; teammate Bost Dee also played 39 minutes.

Billy had an excellent shooting night from deep as he connected on all four three point shot attempts but was quite inefficient from other spots on the court.

He scored three of ten field goal attempts and just one of five attempts from the free throw line and had three turnovers in the contest.

Dijon’s Julien Axel and David Holston scored 19 points apiece to tie Ouatarra’s mark but had just one other player score in double digits compared to Monaco who had four players register double figures aside Ouatarra.

Game 2 takes place tonight.
