Ghana Navy maintains its lead in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division despite suffering a big loss in its last league appearance.
The last time, Navy was in action, the team lost 31-60 to defending league champions Ghana Police Service in a game played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
In spite of the loss, Navy stays put at the apex of the eight team league standings with nine points after winning four of five games.
Prior to the big loss, Navy had won four straight games including a 34-35 win over Ghana Air Force. Ghana Police has two wins in two games thus far and has an outstanding highly anticipated game against bitter rival Braves of Customs on the cards.
The game has been postponed twice first due to rain and the second due to Braves trip to Kenya. Air Force registered its first win thanks to a 36-28 victory over Tudu Galaxy. Air Force has just a win in four outings.
Reformers of Prisons and University of Ghana occupy the bottom spots in the standings. A full breakdown of the standings is below
