Ghana born French international Shooting Guard Billy Yakuba Ouatarra will play in France’s A1 Basketball League semifinal playoffs series against Dijon.

Game One of the series takes place on Saturday, June 1 with both teams making the game after recording two straights wins in respective best of three games series against Limoges and Strasbourg.

Dijon beat Strasbourg 89-85 in the crucial Game 2 to qualify to the semifinals with Julien Axel scoring 28 points. Monaco easily beat Limoges 90-62 to move out of the first round.

Ouattara played a starring role in the series registering 18 points in the second game to lead all Monaco players in scoring and added four rebounds.

27 year old Ouattara averaged 11.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 25 minutes in the regular season and has recorded double digit scoring marks in two games in the playoffs thus far.

Games 2 and 3 are scheduled to be played on June 3 and June 6 respectively. Defending champions ASVEL and Nanterre play in the other series.
