Ghana Forward Ben Bentil was the star man for Peristeri GS in an 80-72 win over Panathinaikos in the Greece A1 Basketball League Regular Season early in April.

The Combo Forward earned Player of the Week Honors in Greece after registering 21 points, 13 rebounds, two steals, an assist and a block.

The loss was Panathinaikos first of the season who had won 20 straight games in the lead up to the game. On the other hand, it was Peristeri’s 14th win.

Later tonight, the teams face off in Game One in the semifinal playoffs series after Peristeri qualified from the first round thanks to a 2-1 series lead over Ifestos.

Panathinaikos however, progressed under controversial circumstances due to Olympiakos’ failure to honour the game.

A place in the semifinals of this season’s campaign is up for grabs as Bentil competes in his postseason career as a professional.

The 24 year old is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA after a brief stint with Dallas Mavericks.
