Nungua Coldstore continues its impressive form in the Tema Community Basketball League this season after notching another win in the just ended round.
Over the weekend, Coldstore beat close rival and one of the most improved teams in the league-Akatsi Rifles- 57-23 with another dominant performance.
The win is Coldstore’s sixth in the 2019 campaign and the two time league champions look virtually unstoppable in the early half of the season.
Coldstore has already accounted for wins over Teshie Vikings and much talked about league debutant Spintex Knights who have reigning MVP Benjamin Omari and former Coldstore Guard Kontor Appiah on its roster.
Nungua will continue its stay at the apex of the standings after the big win with Rifles’ momentum slowing down after a scorching start to the season.
Akatsi got off to a three game winning streak but has won one in its last three games including a 47-66 loss to Knights.
Coldstore won the BetWay Hoops Tournament for the second time in preseason.
