Ghana Forward Ben Bentil made a rare start for Peristeri GS but his contribution wasn’t rare as the Sekondi native powered his side into the Greece A1 Basketball League playoffs semifinals with another double digit production.
Bentil scored 16 points in 26 minutes as the starting Power Forward in Peristeri’s 74-64 win over Ifestos in Game 3 of the first round playoff series.
The combo Forward registered a double double by grabbing ten rebounds while adding two steals and two assists to lead his side to victory.
The 6 foot 8 inch player has scored in double figures in all three games in the series but played Games One and Two off the bench.
On the down side, the former Dallas Mavericks player’s struggles from three point range continued as he failed to connect on all four attempts.
He scored a bunch of his points from the free throw line by converting 10 of 12 attempts and scoring three of six attempts from the field.
Peristeri takes on Panathinaikos next on Wednesday, May 29.
