After stepping in as replacement for the inactive Ghana Navy, Junior Reformers gave a good account of themselves in a close win over Ada Knights.
Reformers scored a 59-54 win over Knights in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II game played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments on Saturday.

A mix up in Defense from Reformers gave Knights an easy layup to score its final bucket in the second quarter. Knights led 27-23 at the end of the first half; Knights led 14-6 after the first quarter.
Reformers got four points from Ibrahim but Ada’s John Yahaya responded with a beautiful driving layup. A three point shot and a fastbreak layup tied the score at 36. Reformers struggled to score as Knights took a 41-39 lead into the fourth quarter.
Reformers scored five straight points to open the final quarter including a layup off a drive from Point Guard Emmanuel Opare to take a 45-41 lead but gave Knights several second opportunities while failing to gather offensive rebounds.
However, Junior Reformers did enough to take a 57-54 lead with 15 seconds remaining after Knights Joshua Annang drained a three point shot. Reformers got a fast break layup off a turnover to clinch the four point win.
