Ghana Police Service has ended Ghana Navy’s two game winning streak after recording a resounding win in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division.
Defending league champions Police beat Navy 60-31 at the Prisons Court in Cantonments to record its second win this season.
Navy was on an impressive run heading to the game including a 34-25 win over Ghana Air Force but Police proved too strong for the side.
In the follow up game between Panthers and Dunk Knights in the Men’s Division II, another downpour forced the game to be postponed.
The game was stopped with 25 seconds remaining in the second quarter as the heavens opened on Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Panthers have a win and a loss in two games this season while Dunk has lost twice in a row after scoring a win in its maiden game in 2019.
The rescheduled time for the game is yet to be announced by the League Board. Later tonight at the same venue, Ada Knight play Junior Reformers in the same division at 15:00 GMT.
Ghana Air Force plays Tudu Galaxy in the Women’s Division and Reformers of Prisons take on Adabraka CYO.
