Braves of Customs recorded mixed results in games in friendly games played on Friday in Kenya against the Eastern Africa country’s National Male and Female teams.
Braves Female lost 18-56 to the Lionesses but the Male side secured an all important 64-60 win over the Men’s National Team-The Morans- to even the tie.
Both games were sanctioned by Kenya’s Basketball Federation and proceeds generated from the game will aid the country’s preparations towards upcoming games on the continent.
Braves have another assignment on Sunday, May 26 when its Male side lines up against league side Ulinzi Warriors as its tour draws to an end.
This is the Ghanaian outfit’s second visit to Kenya in consecutive years and is the latest continental adventure for the accomplished side.
Braves Male side has dominated the Ghanaian scene for several years and won last year’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division title without losing a game.
Participating in the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Championship followed. However, Braves missed out on progressing to the AfroLeague group stages.
