Ghana Forward Ben Bentil and his Peristeri GS side will play Ifestos for the third time in the first round of this season’s playoffs to decide the team that progresses to the next round.
The series is tied at 1-1 after two games and the third game to be played later this weekend will determine which team plays Panathinaikos in the next round.
Panathinaikos matchup against Olympiakos has been with major controversy after the latter withdrew from competing in the league. Olympiakos forfeited its last regular season and was subsequently relegated.
Bentil has impressed thus far in the series in his first playoffs since turning pro in 2016. In both games, the 6 foot 8 inch Sekondi born player scored in double digits.
In Game One’s 84-81 win, he had 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals and in Game Two Bentil registered 16 points, three assists and six rebounds.
After coming off the bench twice, Bentil could be inserted into the starting lineup for Game 3.
