Ghana Center Amida Brimah’s quest to play in the NBA continues this offseason after attending a free agent mini camp organized by NBA outfit Sacramento Kings recently.
Per reports from Nicola Lupa of Sportando reaching Basketballghana.com, Brimah was one of several free agents who attended the event.
Former Oklahoma City Thunder Forward Josh Huestis was one of the camp attendants alongside former Memphis Grizzlies Shooting Guard Jamaal Franklin.
Brimah started his offseason earlier than he did last season after his NBA Gatorade League side Austin Spurs failed to qualify to the playoffs.
Last season, Spurs played in the G-League Finals and beat then champions Raptors 905 to clinch the title; Brimah led the league in blocked shots in the regular season.
In the immediate past campaign, the 6 foot 11 inch defender repeated as the league’s regular season leader in blocked shots.
The former University of Connecticut Captain averaged 8.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in 47 games. Brimah was named in the All Defensive Team in the G-League for the second straight year.
