Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints have finished bottom of the GSP Basketball League 2018-2019 standings. The Saints ended the campaign on a dud after its game against LIR Royals was cancelled; the matchup was set to be played at the Sunyani Technical University (STU) Court.

Basketballghana.com gathers neither team was interested in showing up for the game hence the cancellation of the game on the final day of competition. This was a sour end to what started out as an impressive season highlighted by the team’s surprise qualification to the 2019 UPAC Basketball Championship quarterfinals.

This was CUCG’s first ever qualification to the knockout stage of Ghana’s most prestigious tertiary basketball competition. However, a series of no show appearances and poor form in the league cost the side a higher spot in the league this season.

After completing last season in the top half, LIR Royals sank to the ninth spot after bagging four wins in 18 games. Saints on the other hand, registered just two wins. League debutant Young Boys shocked the field to clinch the league title. Below is a full breakdown of the standings:
