Ghana Forward Ben Bentil scored 14 points to help Peristeri GS clinch an 84-81 win over Ifestos in the Greece A1 Basketball League playoffs.
In his first playoff game in his professional career, Bentil was productive dropping double digit in points, eight rebounds, four steals, a block and two assists in 23 minutes.
Just as he has done for much of his maiden season in Greece, Bentil came off the bench and contributed to the important win.
The 6 foot 8 inch Forward scored most of his points from the free throw line converting eight of nine attempts. He wasn’t so efficient from the field.
Bentil converted three of eight field goal attempts and missed both attempts from three point range as teammate Vasilopoulos Panagiotis scored 19 points.
Winner of the series will face off against the winner of the Olympiakos-Panathinaikos series which commences later tonight.
PAOK and Holargos lost to Promitheas and AEK respectively in other playoff games played over the weekend.
