The just ended round of games in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) were exciting and provided a lot of talking points in the aftermath of big and surprising results.
All five games were played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu and the competition commenced on Friday, May 10 at 18:00 GMT.
Defending League Champions Braves of Customs clinched a 64-45 win over Adabraka CYO to improve its record to three wins in three games this season.
In the follow up game, Ghana Fire Service scored a 66-57 win over home side Tudu Magic for its second win in three games. Magic’s record is the opposite of Fire’s.
In the Women’s Division, Ghana Navy run out 34-25 winners over Ghana Air Force on Saturday, May 11 with the teams playing out a close first half. Air Force trailed 18-21.
Ada Knights grabbed its first win on the back of a 57-46 win over Dunk Knights; the contest was played at a frenetic pace. Both teams have a win and a loss in two appearances thus far.
In the final game of the round, Kawukudi Warriors sealed a sensational 64-47 win over Ghana Police Service for its maiden win in the 2019 season. Warriors showed a lot of heart to get back up from a 70-72 loss to Tema Youth in the last round.
