American born Ghanaian Small Forward Bashir Ahmed scored 25 points to help his side Prishtina clinch the 2018-2019 Kosovo Basketball Super League.
Prishtina clinched the title after beating Rahoveci 104-75 in Game 4 of the Finals series; the win gave Prishtina a 3-1 lead in the series.
It marked another big contribution from 23 year old Ahmed who started the series slowly contributing just eight points in Game One.
However, his production has improved throughout the series and his 25 showing played a major role to seal the title after missing out last season.
In the 2017-2018 season, Prishtina lost 1-3 in the series to Brahkimi Prizren with the defining momemt coming in a 61-77 loss in Game 4.
Bashir was efficient in 29 minutes on the floor scoring five of nine field goal attempts, two of five three point shot attempts and all nine attempts from the free throw line.
The 6 foot 7 inch player added seven rebounds and two assists with lead scorer Berisha Dardan scoring 37 points in the win.
This is Ahmed’s first league title since turning pro after graduating from St. John’s University in 2018.
