Veteran Tunisian Guard Michael Roll is hoping to change the North African nation’s outcome at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.
This year’s World Cup comes off in the Asian Country from August 31 to September 15 with United States of America as defending champions.
Tunisia is one of five African nations to compete at the world games; Angola, Senegal, Nigeria and Ivory Coast are the remaining representatives from the continent.
The reigning African Champions-Tunisia- last played at the World Cup in 2010 in Turkey but lost all games in its debut appearance.
However, 32 year old American born Guard Roll wants to change the narrative in his first appearance at the World competition.
“I’m hoping to help change the outcome into a more positive one at this World Cup’ the Maccabi Tel Aviv player said in an FIBA.
Tunisia is in Group C with Iran, Puerto Rico and Spain and will play group games in Guangzhou. Roll and Dallas Mavericks Center Salah Majri are the most recognizable names on the team.
