Ghana Forward Ben Bentil’s first appearance in the Greece A1 Basketball League regular season ended earlier this week with his side Peristeri GS ending up in fourth place.

Peristeri grabbed the fourth seed following an 83-65 win over PAOK in Round 26 of the 2018-2019 Regular season. Peristeri has qualified to the playoffs in the process.

The Athens-based team ends the campaign with 17 wins and nine losses in 26 games; Peristeri was the first team and one of only two teams to beat league leaders Panathinaikos prior to the start of the postseason.

Despite featuring in Greece for the first time, it isn’t Bentil’s first campaign in Europe. The Sekondi born swingman played in France and Spain’s first division.

In France, Bentil played for Champagne Charlons Reims ending the season with Spain’s Retabet Bilbao Basket before moving to Greece.

In 26 games, the 6 foot 8 inch former Dallas Mavericks Forward averaged 11.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game ahead of the playoffs.
